Installation

Requirements

  • Craft CMS 5.0 or later
  • PHP 8.2 or later

Install via Composer

Until Tidy Tags is published to the Craft Plugin Store, install it as a path repository. Clone the plugin next to your project:

git clone https://github.com/justinholtweb/craft-tidytags.git ../craft-tidytags

Then add the path repository to your project's composer.json and require the package at a dev constraint:

"repositories": [ { "type": "path", "url": "../craft-tidytags" } ],
"require": { "justinholtweb/craft-tidytags": "@dev" }

Install the package:

composer require justinholtweb/craft-tidytags

Install the Plugin

Install via the Craft CLI:

php craft plugin/install tidytags

Or navigate to Settings → Plugins in the control panel and click “Install” next to Tidy Tags.

Next steps

Once the plugin is installed, a new Tidy Tags item appears in the control panel sidebar. Grant the accessPlugin-tidytags permission to any user groups that should be able to use it — see Permissions — then head to Usage to start managing your tags.

Pairs well with Tidy Tags

Small changes to the control panel that editors notice on day one. Better filters, a real media library, sidebar fields, watermarks and uploads that don't time out.
