Permissions
Tidy Tags uses Craft's default plugin access permission:
accessPlugin-tidytags
Grant it to any user group that should be able to view or manage tags through the dashboard. The same permission also protects every mutating action endpoint (rename, delete, merge, check-duplicate).
Assigning the permission
- Go to Settings → Users → User Groups in the control panel.
- Pick the group that should have access (for example, Editors).
- Under Permissions, check Access Tidy Tags.
- Save.
Admins
Admins always have access, regardless of the permission. You don't need to assign anything explicitly for admin accounts.
A note on destructive actions
Tidy Tags does not ship with a separate “can merge” or “can delete” permission. Anyone with accessPlugin-tidytags can use every action in the UI. Only grant it to users you trust to restructure taxonomy — in most teams that's editors or content leads, not general authors.
